Just Released: Newest Additions To My Library

New Additions to my Library Ina Garten Cooking Like a Pro New York Splendor Wendy Moonan Cabana Anthology Martina Mondadori Sartogo

I am popping in quickly to share these two wonderful books that were just released this week. Yesterday actually. Both titles are currently #1 sellers in several categories. I ordered both of these and can not wait to get my hands (and eyes) on them.

The forward is by famed New York architect Robert A.M. Stern. You may want to pick up one of his stunning books as well. If you enjoy classic NYC architecture, New York 1880: Architecture and Urbanism in the Gilded Age is a treasure.

In New York Splendor Moonan takes us through “New York residential spaces that elicit gasps of pleasure and surprise when first seen.”

Yes, please!

I have been gravitating towards moody greens and blues lately so that cover instantly drew me in.

Groundbreaking rooms include Brooke Astor's elegant library by Albert Hadley; Gloria Vanderbilt's sublime patchwork bedroom; Donald Judd's dramatically spare art-filled loft; Adolfo's opulent and magnificently red entrance hall; a Peter Marino-designed penthouse with sweeping midtown views; and Jamie Drake's stunning dining room for the mayor's residence, Gracie Mansion.“

Other featured rooms include the work of Mario Buatta, the Prince of Chintz, who recently left us.

The barefoot contessa is at it again. Just look at her flipping those croutons. Oooh, Ina. My spirit animal.

Ina shares some of her most irresistible recipes and very best "pro tips," from the secret to making her custardy, slow-cooked Truffled Scrambled Eggs to the key to the crispiest and juiciest Fried Chicken Sandwiches. Ina will even show you how to make an easy yet showstopping pattern for her Chocolate Chevron Cake--your friends won't believe you decorated it yourself!

Did you hear Inas calming voice read that last sentence in your head, too? It also has hosting tips like how to set up an elegant home bar.

I don’t buy a lot of cook books but these chicken thighs with creamy mustard sauce are making my mouth water. That Jeffrey is one lucky fella.

I have also been eyeballing the beautiful Cabana Anthology by Martina Mondadori Sartogo. The book is a collection of photos and interviews from Cabana Magazine spanning the past 5 years.

I am drooling over its small design details like the pink ribbon page marker and embossed page borders. This is shaping up to be my next book purchase.
