2018 Color of the Year - The Complete List
Since the mid-summer, paint companies have one by one been unveiling their selections for the 2018 Color of the Year and now we are in the home stretch. Only a few companies have yet to release their color picks and most of those should be announced within the month. Instead of writing about each color as they are released, I am compiling a complete list of each paint companies 2018 selection for the Color of the Year. Making it easier to see how the colors relate and the overall look and feel of 2018 on one page. I'll be updating this list as the final colors roll out.
Each year colors are selected by tracking current trends around the world in many industries including fashion, cosmetics and home decor. Even the current economy and political climate play a role. Whether intentionally or subconsciously, we use color to express our feelings and decorate our homes in ways that speak to our emotions. So far this year we are seeing colors getting richer and darker.
